If you use or plan to use IP Relay or VRS, you
must get a ten-digit telephone number as soon as possible. To get a
ten-digit number, you need to register with your preferred IP Relay
or VRS provider. After November 12, 2009, your IP Relay and VRS
calls other than 911 calls will not be completed unless you have
registered with a provider. Contact your preferred IP Relay or VRS
provider today to avoid any last-minute rush to register.
The registration process is easy and simple.
You only need to provide basic information such as your name and the
address from which you will be making IP Relay or VRS calls. That
address is your “Registered Location.”
If you use both IP Relay and VRS, you must
register and obtain a separate ten-digit number for each. If you
have more than one IP Relay or VRS device, you will likely have to
obtain a separate ten-digit number for each device.
