Jacob Lewis is Associate General Counsel (Counselor to the General Counsel) of the Federal Communications Commission.
Mr. Lewis joined the FCC in May 2003 after 15 years on the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he became an Appellate Litigation Counsel. Before that, Mr. Lewis was in private practice as an associate in the Washington, DC Office of O’Melveny & Myers. Mr. Lewis received his B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1978, his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1981, and clerked for U.S. District Judge Milton Pollack in Manhattan.
