	REBECCA DORCH TO BE NAMED A DEPUTY CHIEF OF OET
	Rebecca L. Dorch has been selected to serve as a Deputy Chief of the Commission's Office of Engineering and Technology. Dorch, currently Deputy Chief of the Competition Division in the Office of General Counsel, will be joining Dale N. Hatfield, who was announced today to be the next Chief of OET. FCC Chairman William E. Kennard said, "Having worked directly with Rebecca in the Office of General Counsel, I am excited to have her broad legal and policy expertise in OET and look forward to continuing to work closely with her in her new position." Dorch joined the Commission in January of 1994, serving first in the Cable Services Bureau. She was assigned to the Competition Division at its inception in 1994, and has served as its Deputy Chief since August of 1996. Prior to joining the Commission Dorch was an associate at Bryan Cave and at Wilner and Scheiner. She is a 1983 graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, and a 1979 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Illinois. - FCC -
