On January 3, 2025, the FCC released two Public Notices granting Applied Development, LLC, and Sorenson Communications, LLC, access to the Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) Numbering Directory as Qualified Direct Video Entities.  This action allows Applied Development and Sorenson to provide support to consumer call centers so that they can accept direct video calls from consumers with disabilities who use American Sign Language (ASL), without using a relay service.
