"This page is a digitally archived AccessInfo Announcement"

On June 15, 2023, the FCC issued a news release announcing a new portal for consumers to share how data caps affect them at www.fcc.gov/datacapstories.  By sharing their stories, consumers will help the FCC understand whether and how data caps impact access to broadband for all individuals, including those with disabilities, and access to online education, telehealth, and remote work.

The news release also explained that FCC Chairwoman Rosenworcel is proposing a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) to learn more about how broadband providers use data caps on consumer plans.
