1997

Sprint - Florida Incorporated was created on 12/19/96 with the merger of United Telephone of Florida (UTFL) and Central of Florida (CEFL).

1998 - 2005

Sprint - Florida Incorporated had no changes during this period.

2006

In 2006, following a 2004 merger between Sprint and Nextel, the Sprint local telephone companies were spun off to become Embarq Local Operating Companies, and the company’s name was changed to Embarq Florida, Inc.

2007 - 2009

Embarq Florida had no changes during this period.
