Each week Americans receive roughly 1 billion robocalls that originate from around the country and overseas. To address this problem, the Enforcement Bureau (EB or Bureau) has entered into information sharing agreements with other government authorities. These strategic partnerships ensure effective cross-border enforcement against unwanted communications.

EB has a memorandum of understanding with 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. The Bureau has also entered into cooperation agreements with the Federal Trade Commission, the Unsolicited Communications Enforcement Network (UCENet)the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK Office of Communications (OfCom), the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the European Union’s Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) & Romania’s National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM), and Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
