Environmental Compliance for Communications Facilities
The FCC's requirements for environmental compliance prior to the construction of communications facilities are explained in this day-long training program hosted by WTB. The sessions focused on compliance for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and for the National Environmental Policy Act. Among the presenters were staffs from many FCC Bureaus and from USDA Rural Utilities Service, DOC National Telecommunications and Information Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and from the State Historic Preservation Offices in Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia.
The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has held a more recent workshop covering this material that can be found here.
