In the News Release indicated below, the FCC announced the panelists and moderators for the Forum on Accessible Wireless Emergency Communications Technology to be held Friday, November 7, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the FCC’s Commission Meeting Room.
The Forum will begin with opening and welcome remarks by Admiral David Simpson, Chief, Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and Karen Peltz Strauss, Deputy Chief, Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau. It will then have two panels on accessible emergency alerting during the morning and two panels on text-to-911 during the afternoon.
The event is free and open to the public. Live, captioned video of the event will be available at www.fcc.gov/live. There will be an opportunity for people to send questions through the Internet and from Twitter. Email questions may be sent to: livequestions@fcc.gov.
