The FCC will hold an event on access to social media by people with disabilities this Thursday, July 17, 2014. The event will be held in the FCC’s Meeting Room, at 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, D.C. from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
During the event, twenty panelists will give perspectives on disability access to social media from government, consumer, industry, and academic sectors. From 12:00 p.m to 1:30 p.m. the Technology Experience Center will host demonstrations by exhibitors related to accessing ABILITY Magazine, Facebook, Skype, and Twitter.
The event is free and open to the public. It will also be discussed on Twitter using the #AccSocMedia hashtag and will be webcast live with open captioning at:
