Environmental Compliance for Communications Towers Training
Starting in 2011, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has been holding workshops for its licensees and their consultants on the required environmental compliance process to be completed prior to the construction of communications towers. Prior workshops have provided information on the compliance process for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and on Tribal engagement during the Section 106 process. This workshop provides more information on those topics as well as on compliance under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The workshop also provided information on the revised Antenna Structure Registration System (ASR).
The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau has held a more recent workshop covering this material that can be found here.
