Demo of FCC's new ECFS & FCC.gov website

10:00 am - 3:00 pm EST
445 12th ST SW Washington DC 20554, North Conference Room 2nd floor

As recently announced, the FCC's redesigned website will become live on the morning of December 10. A prototype of the new site is available at https://prototype.fcc.gov/. We encourage you to take a look and provide feedback. In addition, the Commission is pursuing a separate IT project: updating the FCC’s current Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS), which first came online in 1996. We're focused on retaining all the functionality available in the current version of ECFS, while also working to ensure the new ECFS will be faster, simpler to use, easier to navigate, allow for updates to be integrated more quickly, and will include some great new features (like a much improved search function).

This was the first of two demonstration webinars the Commission hosted for FCC stakeholders and members of the public in the lead up to these website transitions. Members of our IT team walked through the design and features of both the new website and the beta version of the updated ECFS. The team was also available to answer any questions. Those interested participated live online via webex or in person at the FCC headquarters.
