The FCC’s Disability Advisory Committee will host a Summit on the communication needs of people with cognitive and intellectual disabilities. The Summit will include panels of subject matter experts that include: (1) Communication Technologies for Independent Living; (2) Emergency Preparedness/Living in the Community; and (3) Ensuring and Funding Access to Equipment, Training and Broadband. An Exhibition of assistive technologies will be held during the Summit. The Summit agenda and other information on the summit can be viewed at https://www.fcc.gov/events/summit-telecommunication-needs-people-cognitive- disabilities. The Summit is open to the public, and will be streamed live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCC’s web page at www.fcc.gov/live. Those watching the live video stream of the Summit may e-mail event-related questions to livequestions@fcc.gov.
Sign language interpreters, open captioning and assistive listening devices will be provided on site. Other reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request.
