On June 9, 2015, the FCC released a Public Notice requesting comment on a petition filed by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA).  ESA asked the FCC to extend in part a waiver from the FCC’s rules requiring advanced communications services (ACS) to be accessible to people with disabilities.  Specifically, in 2012, the FCC granted a waiver of the FCC’s ACS accessibility requirements for three classes of game-related equipment, including video game software, until October 8, 2015.  In its new petition filed with the FCC on May 22, 2015, ESA requests that the FCC extend the waiver for video game software until January 1, 2017.

The deadlines for filing comments in response to the petition are as follows:
