Technological Advisory Council Meeting April 12, 2018

12:30 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
Commission Meeting Room, 445 12th Street, S.W., Washington, D.C.

The FCC's Technological Advisory Council (TAC), comprised of a diverse group of leading technology experts, provides technical expertise to the Commission to identify important areas of innovation and develop informed technology policies supporting the United States' competitiveness in the global economy. The TAC is helping the Commission to continue the momentum spurred by the National Broadband Plan to maximize the use of broadband to advance national interests and create jobs.

This was the first meeting of the Technological Advisory Council for 2018. At its prior meeting on December 6th, 2017, the Council had discussed possible work initiatives for 2018. These initiatives have been discussed in the interim within the FCC, with the TAC chairman, as well as with individual TAC members. At the April meeting, the FCC Technological Advisory Council discussed its proposed work program for 2018.
