Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee Meeting - September 2019
In its second term, the BDAC continues its work to craft recommendations for the Commission on ways to accelerate the deployment of high-speed Internet access, or "broadband," by reducing and/or removing regulatory barriers to infrastructure investment and strengthening existing broadband networks in communities across the country. The BDAC will continue to provide an opportunity for interested stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop recommendations to the Commission on broadband deployment, which will in turn enhance the Commission's ability to carry out its statutory responsibility to encourage the deployment of broadband to all Americans.
At this meeting, the BDAC will receive status reports and updates from its three working groups: Disaster Response and Recovery, Increasing Broadband Investment in Low-Income Communities, and Broadband Infrastructure Deployment Job Skills and Training Opportunities. This agenda may be modified at the discretion of the BDAC Chair and the Designated Federal Officer (DFO).
