International Fixed and Mobile Broadband Speeds
Source: Ookla SPEEDTEST intelligence data, © 2021 Ookla, LLC. All rights reserved. Published with permission of Ookla. This figure presents mean download speeds. Ookla allows fixed and mobile broadband users to voluntarily measure upload and download speeds, along with various other performance metrics, using tests run through either a browser or a designated app. These tests are user initiated. Therefore, the speeds presented in this figure are taken by those consumers in locations with access to the technology in question, and do not account for locations without service. In addition, a consumer must have access to a device that is compatible with the measured technology. This may cause some anomalies in the data collected for emerging technologies, such as 5G.
