To assist stakeholders in complying with their regulatory obligations, the Commission designated a single point of contact to serve as the ombudsperson on contraband wireless device issues. The ombudsperson provides assistance to CIS operators and CMRS licensees regarding CIS lease filings for correctional facilities, facilitates required Commission filings, and is the addressee for requests to become a Designated Correctional Facility Official and quarterly reporting related to erroneously disabled devices.
