On December 6, 2024, the FCC’s Media Bureau released a Public Notice seeking comment on a petition filed on November 27, 2024, by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) requesting a retroactive extension of the waiver of the requirement that broadcasters provide an aural representation of visual, non-textual emergency information (such as radar maps or other graphics) on the secondary audio stream of video broadcasts.  The pre-existing waiver expired on November 26, 2024.  All filings responsive to this Public Notice must reference MB Docket No. 12-107.
