Alltel Communications, Inc. (ACI) and Midwest Wireless Holdings LLC (Midwest Wireless) have requested FCC consent to transfer control of four Midwest Wireless subsidiaries -- Midwest Wireless Communications LLC, Midwest Wireless Iowa LLC, Midwest Wireless Wisconsin LLC and Switch 2000 LLC -- to ACI. Midwest Wireless Holdings, L.L.C. (“Midwest”) and ALLTEL Communications, Inc. (“ALLTEL”) (collectively, the “Applicants”) have filed a series of applications pursuant to Sections 214 and 310(d) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended. In these applications, the Applicants seek Commission approval of the transfer of control of Midwest’s licensee subsidiaries to ALLTEL.
