Verizon Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Verizon"), and FairPoint Communications, Inc. ("FairPoint") have filed a series of applications pursuant to sections 214 and 310(d) of the Communications Act of 1934. They seek Commission approval of the transfer of certain spectrum and licenses and section 214 authorizations relating to Verizon's local and long-distance operations in the States of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont from Verizon to FairPoint.
