Sinclair Television Group (Sinclair) and Allbritton Communications Co. (Allbritton) have filed applications seeking Commission approval for the transfer of control of Allbritton's eight full power television stations to Sinclair: WCFT - Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Birmingham DMA); WJSU - Anniston, Alabama (Birmingham DMA); WCIV - Charleston, South Carolina; KATV - Little Rock, Arkansas; KTUL - Tulsa, Oklahoma; WJLA - Washington, DC; WHTM - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and WSET - Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition, to comply with the Commission's local television ownership rule, Sinclair has filed applications seeking approval for the assignment to Deerfield Media entities, which are ultimately controlled by Stephen Mumblow, of three broadcast television licenses, WTTO - Homewood, Alabama (Birmingham DMA); WABM - Birmingham, Alabama; and WHP - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and to a subsidiary of Howard Stirk Holdings, LLC, which is wholly owned by Armstrong Williams, of one broadcast television licenses, WMMP - Charleston, South Carolina. Sinclair expects to provide sales and other non-programming support services to each of these stations pursuant to option, shared services and joint sales agreements.
