Connect America Phase II
Connect America Fund Phase II will provide ongoing support to areas served by price cap carriers, including areas currently lacking broadband-capable infrastructure, using a combination of a forward-looking broadband cost model and competitive bidding.

Connect America Phase I
In Connect America Fund Phase I, price cap carriers’ support is frozen under the Commission’s existing high-cost mechanisms. The Commission has also provided incremental support to price cap carriers to spur deployment of broadband while Phase II is being implemented.
