Intergovernmental Affairs Quarterly Call
The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA) held its Quarterly Briefing Webinar on Thursday, October 31st, sharing the latest updates and priorities and potential ways in which governmental partners can work together to boost awareness of the FCC's ongoing work.
IGA reviewed the FCC's policy efforts to help consumers avoid spoofing scams and unwanted robocalls and texts, and how to file a complaint with the FCC. Additionally, subject matter experts provided the latest updates regarding the broadband consumer labels deadlines, cyber security efforts as we honor Cyber Security Awareness Month, broadband data caps, and the recent temporarily waiver on the Lifeline program eligibility rules to ensure that consumers receiving federal disaster assistance can easily apply for and enroll in the Lifeline program to assist people impacted by hurricanes.
