Skydance Media, LLC and its affiliates (Skydance), and National Amusements, Inc. (NAI) and its shareholders, have filed applications seeking approval to transfer control from NAI’s current shareholders to Skydance of the licenses and authorizations held by Paramount Global’s subsidiaries. Paramount holds, through various direct and indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries, 28 owned and operated local television broadcast stations of the CBS Television Network, as well as one Class A television broadcast station, and two low-power television translator stations. If the applications are approved, control of these licenses will move from various trusts controlled by the Shari Redstone and the Redstone family to companies owned and controlled by Larry Ellison and the Ellison family.
Petitions to Deny and Comments are due December 6, 2024. Oppositions are due January 2, 2025. And Replies are due January 13, 2025.
