T-Mobile US, Inc. (T-Mobile) and United States Cellular Corporation (UScellular) have announced an agreement for the transfer to T-Mobile of UScellular’s wireless operations, customers, and certain spectrum licenses and spectrum leases. According to the parties, UScellular is retaining approximately 70% of its spectrum holdings and all of its approximately 4,400 towers. UScellular provides wireless services to approximately 4.5 million retail customers in 21 states. T-Mobile is one of the three largest national wireless carriers in the United States, serving approximately 120 million customers.
