Verizon Communications Inc. (Verizon) and Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. (Frontier) filed a series of applications seeking Commission approval to transfer control of various licenses and authorizations held by subsidiaries of Frontier from Frontier to Verizon. Pursuant to this transaction, if approved, Frontier and its subsidiaries would become subsidiaries of Verizon.

Frontier also provides intrastate, interstate, and international long-distance service on a resale basis in each of the states where Frontier operates as an incumbent LEC. Verizon provides communications services to consumers, businesses, government customers, and other carriers throughout the United States and internationally. Verizon's wireline business provides voice, data, and video communications products and enhanced services, including broadband video and data, corporate networking solutions, data center and cloud services, security and managed network services, and local and long distance voice services. Verizon subsidiaries include incumbent local exchange carrier (LEC) entities in ten states in the Eastern United States, and Verizon Wireless, which provides voice and data services across a nationwide wireless network.
